More summer travels

So there are real pyramids in Egypt
and there are pyramids at Memphis Egypt

So why not pyramids at Memphis TN?
We've been going past this pyramid for years, why not stop in?
What we found was fascinating, not a burial place for kings but a great place to find dead animals and outdoor gear... Bass Pro!

More summer travels...

It is kind of amazing what all we did, and that was a blast (blessed blast!), but the wonderful people are what made it the unforgettable trip it was...

Thanks to dear friends and relatives at Au Sable
 Wonderful play with cousins...
 Great walks with Oma...
Early morning rowing on a steamy lake with loons calling in the background...
and lots of fun with beautiful cousins!

Love to all!

More summer travels

We filled the 8 passenger van and had not only quality time but quantity time!  Thanks again for the kindness of so many and much joy to see you!!

This is a "historical" tree in Geneva.  The first half fell when S was born (more than 50 years ago); and the second half partially regrew but finally fell, partially crushing the shed this summer.

D and cousin P had fun visiting...

Friends boating on the lake.  We swam, waded, boated, walked around and generally enjoyed this lovely glacial lake in northern Michigan.
J and cousin P had fun wandering in the woods and playing by the lake...

Happy Anniversary to J and D!  Enjoyed a bit of cake, coffee, hot chocolate while kids were at VBS.  Many more!!

Summer Travels...

We had fun on our 5000 mile trip...
Great visit with family around the country... and out in the country!!
Upstate is beautiful and we had a great time with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends!
Great fun in the hills of Upstate, and wonderful to see friends and their growing families.  Some definite young adults coming along!
F had fun with dear friends in VA...
We were thankful to visit with Grampa, and he was tickled by the little ones...
Thanks to all who were so kind on our travels, blessings to all!

More Fall Activities

Lots of fun this year
Weather has been great; no major storms; pretty dry with an early cool snap.  Our flowers are out; camellias are blooming; oranges and satsumas are sweet and we are thankful for our blessings.
Praying you are blessed also.

The Lord provides our daily bread (and meat!
Mom and friends made some new soap - beautiful and fun
 Games are fun but competitive!

 Oranges are plentiful
Local fruit is tasty: pears (above) and pomegranates (below)

DB is growing, eating but still enjoys time with Mom
G is developing some Roman News...
