Cenotes

From the surface of the ground, the cenote looks like a big hole in the ground.  As you climb down into it, you can see some water and perhaps roots reaching down from trees on the surface to get some of the valuable water...

The rock formations mix with the root formations to make a unique and beautiful appearance.  Once you get down to the water, you can go swimming in the cool water.

The colors are beautiful where the bright sunlight mixes with the dark cool water.  The water is also quite clear and fun to swim in once you get down there.
The light is very beautiful as the bright sun hits the cool water and you get blues, greens, and darker colors.  The rock formations include stalactites and stalagmites where the water drips down the rock extending the formations.  All in all, it is a unique experience.

We had fun swimming with cousins in this cenote and several others.
